The North Dakota Curriculum Initiative (NDCI) is a long-term professional development program for North Dakota public and non-public school curriculum administrators and teachers.

Progress Monitoring:  Oral Reading Fluency, 1 credit

Online Course Dates:  October 18 – November 19 (five weeks)
Learn strategies for monitoring students reading progress through data collection and curriculum-based measurement.  Participants will understand the importance of collecting and graphing data for monitoring student progress and use curriculum based measurement (CBM) to write and monitor IEP goals/objectives including establishing baseline, normative aimlines and writing progress reviews.

Session five focuses on “bringing it all together” through:
 Planning for improved results linking back to the earlier assessment of “current reality”
 Putting the plan into a roadmap for school improvement
 Prioritizing for implementation at home

For this final event, we have had to take a serious look at our budget and make some tough decisions. We’re asking that schools and districts work with us in covering some of the expenses for this final meeting. Unfortunately, we will not be able to reimburse for mileage or substitutes. But we will still be able to cover the costs of lodging and food at the event, in addition to the presenters, meeting room, and equipment.
